2011 Conference

We had an amazing time at the 2011 CAA Conference in Pennsylvania!

This year's conference took place Oct 20-23 at Jumonville in the Laurel Highlands of Southwestern Pennsylvania.  We were blessed with new and old friends, lots of opportunity to play and worship outdoors, and dialogue about relevant topics that affect how we do ministry in the out-of-doors. Our keynote speaker was David Moriah, who inspired us with his stories and helped us to wrestle with several questions that affect wilderness ministry today. Thank you, David! Also a big thank you to all the workshop presenters, skills and thrills leaders, Jumonville staff, CCO staff, Hearts and Minds Books, exhibitors, worship leaders, and all of the other folks in attendance.  These factors combined make the conference strong, and we can't do it without all of you! Some quotes from the conference: "I had a great time and enjoyed the variety of people I met." "Loved it, loved it, loved it.  Very relevant to my life right now, and it gave me a lot to chew on." "Good organization and facilitation- I appreciate how you piqued my thoughts." "...Got me excited about wanting to become more intentional about implementing these things in my role at camp." "Awesome!"

We'll see YOU at the 2012 Conference at Mt. Hermon in California!  Stay tuned!
