Why CAA Conferences

Working as a Christian wilderness or adventure professional presents many unique challenges and can often be a pursuit that very few can comprehend, let alone empathize with or provide advice for. CAA conferences provide a wonderful venue for fellowship, education, rejuvenation, and fun with others who are devoted to wilderness and adventure ministry.

The purpose of CAA conferences is to:

  • provide a forum for Christian wilderness and adventure leaders to express ideas, concerns and vision for the future and other information of value to fellow leaders;
  • promote the development of wilderness and adventure leadersÕ affective skills;
  • enable the discipleship of wilderness and adventure leaders;
  • provide a setting for renewal, worship, networking and mentoring within the Christian wilderness and adventure community.

Strategically located in geographically fun parts of the country, each conference is highlighted by evening sessions of intimate worship in conjunction with a message from a key note speaker who is a relevant professional in the field of adventure ministry.

Mornings at conferences are devoted to workshops, seminars, and round-table discussions that address both the soft skills and hard skills associated with adventure ministry. Workshops that focus on encouraging and edifying make CAA conferences stand out and create lasting and valuable memories for conference attendees.

If you are interested in learning a new skill or passing on a cool trick of the trade, the afternoon sessions, or, ÒSkills and ThrillsÓ can accommodate most interests for learning and fun in the outdoors. Both morning sessions and afternoon Skills and Thrills sessions are presented by professionals in the field who have a heart to share what they are passionate about.
