Position Description: This internship is focused on camping ministry career development. Key focus areas of learning include hospitality/retreat management, children/youth ministry and development, administrative management, event planning, program and partnership development, and ACA policy review. In this role, you will participate in and learn about all that happens in the non-summer seasons of camping ministry life. You will also learn about designing programs and teaching staff effective leadership skills in relation to mission and goals. Based on your skills and program design, you will play a leadership role for the summer camp season as well. Interns will live in a Christian camp community which prays, worships, works, and recreates with one another. Additional mentoring from seasoned camp professionals will help prepare you for your career in camping or other ministry fields.Applicant must have passion and experience working with children or youth, working in the outdoors, and sharing God’s love with children and youth. We are looking for a team member with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, gifts in hospitality, creativity, flexibility, and ability to work both in a team and independently. Applicants must be willing to have a flexible schedule and work some evenings, weekends or holidays as needed. Candidate must be 21 or older.

Ligonier Camp - Counselors & Adventure (Summer Positions)

Ligonier Camp is an outdoor adventure Christian camp in Ligonier PA (about an hour south east of Pittsburgh) and I'm looking to hire college students to be counselors. I have full summer (10 week) and half summer (5 week) positions. We do high ropes, tubing, laser tag, climbing, s'mores, silly songs, crafts, drama, camp fires and all of the traditional summer camp stuff. Most importantly, we share Christ with kids. 

Adventure - Do you have specialty skills? These are the people who lead our outdoor activities! We’re looking for Horse Wranglers, Lakefront Staff, and Wilderness Counselors.

In this role you would be responsible for recruiting, managing, and developing our team; year-round and seasonal staff alike. This role involves a lot of people interaction, but also requires the ability to spend some time on administrative tasks: job postings, paperwork, and staff scheduling, and staffing our trips. You’ll need to be a good communicator, able to assist in the development and management of organizational fundraisers and other ministry events. Discovery Ministries- Summer Internship

Discovery Ministries exists to enable individuals and groups to grow to be like Jesus through challenge and recreation.

Interns become teachers here, and teachers must practice what they teach by enduring their own intense experiences. Since they are instructors-in-training, interns will be charged with pushing themselves and participants towards spiritual, mental and physical growth. 

Our internships are rich learning experiences, full of variety. Interns will develop hard skills related to outdoor leadership including (rock climbing, canoeing, caving, challenge course facilitation, group initiatives, etc.) and soft skills related to group dynamics. In addition, interns will join the staff in promoting DM's mission and physical maintenance. This includes cleaning bathrooms, repairing buildings, public-relations projects and more. Our foremost aim is for interns to become dynamic, Christian leaders in their future endeavors.
